Tedmak has released his latest album entitled, Quite Storm. He is currently performing at the Sheraton Luxury Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This album
features the all new generation sound of: Soul and
R&B with a Classical, Symphonic twist. Dereje Alemerew (a.ka. DJ Madjet) is the man
behind the scenes as executive producer. The accomplished musical producer had a big hand in the magic of "Quite Storm.This top-flight duo has created the right mix and essence that will live up to all expectations of originality. The result is a collection of well crafted tracks that will rattle and dazzle your earbuds. With its full versatility and insightfulness, this explosive collaboration will prove, once again, as a unique and distinctive new-age urban instrumental.
The legendary Bob Marley's legacy was celebrated on his sixtieth birthday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The talented reggae guru had a great admiration for Ethiopia. It was during his visit to this great, enchanted land that he met and jammed with Teddy. In 1979, Marley dropped in the Ghion Imperial Hotel night club while Teddy was performing with the Dahalak band. Marley's representatives approached the band. They mentioned that Bob Marley is in the audience and would like to join the band for a song. That song was; No woman No Cry. Teddy is receiving praise by local radio and tv shows in Washington, D.C. and Ethiopia, for his role during Marley's visit. On the right hand side, you see a clip of the DVD produced by Teddy in honor of Jamaica's own reggae superstar. It features never before seen photos, rare footages, and more. It's a gift and a tribute from Tedmak to Bob Marley, a musical icon who has influenced and motivated Teddy in many aspects.
The album, entitled "Truth" by Teddy Makonnen, is a compilation of soulful and electric songs. It's still out and in stores today. This is one of Teddy's most prolific instrumentals performed. It features a wide variety of original tracks which Teddy has personally produced and written. Of the album title tracks, "Lanchi" features a smooth jazz approach while tracks like "joy" and "t woman" give you a hip urban funk feel, also features tracks with more homely ethnic timbres and grooves.
Truth has already received rave reviews and is featured at stores like Borders and Tower Records in the Washington, D.C. area
